Biography:

While still in college Jack worked as a reporter for The Hartford Courant, the oldest continuously published newspaper in America. This led to stints in printing and typesetting, skills which helped in his copywriting career.

While a copywriter, Jack pursued journalism as a sideline. He interviewed former HEW Secretary Joseph Califano; Pulitzer Prize-winning author-historians Harrison E. Salisbury and John Toland; playwright Arthur Miller; his wife, photojournalist Inge Morath; and hundreds of other notables.

As News Editor for The Catholic Transcript, Jack has received awards in the 2008 Excellence in Journalism contest of the Society of Professional Journalists, Connecticut chapter. He also was nominated in 2007 for the Father Michael J. McGivney Award for Journalistic Excellence on Volunteerism.

In recent years he has worked with now-published authors on their books-in-progress, editing for style, content and technical aspects.
